The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is seeking an enthusiastic leader to supervise and guide campers through hands-on marine science and maritime activities. In this role, you’ll create engaging STEM-based learning experiences while ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment aboard the museum’s research vessel and in the classroom. You’ll collaborate closely with the Camp Director and Boat Captain to inspire curiosity and a love for the ocean.

The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is looking for a Charter Boat Captain with a Six-Pack certificate and preferred Sailing Endorsement or extensive sailing experience to take passengers aboard the Museum’s wooden Catboat, SARAH. SARAH is an 18’ replica of an 1886 Crosby catboat.
The Captain will be an ambassador of the Museum during the cruise and he/she must have a pleasant, enthusiastic, and congenial demeanor. The Captain must keep the vessel clean, and well-maintained.
The charter cruise is normally 1.5 hours, and takes passengers around the scenic and historic waters of Hyannis Harbor, Lewis Bay, and Nantucket Sound (weather permitting).
Charter cruises will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, as well as 5pm sunset sails. Bookings will be made by museum staff. Staff will call the captain each week to alert them of any scheduled sails.
‘Captain, SARAH’ position runs from mid-June through Columbus Day.
Hours may vary based on weather.
